Ok, so I think this puts me at the longest time that I have been away from LJ - 2 1/2 days, and I had to go to skip=325 to catch up on all the posts. A good chunk of that is from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
thequestionclub but still, that's a record for me.
Currently, I am on a vacation - my first real one in a while. I went back to Plano to see the folks and my friends. Adam has come with me, and so I have been able to show him all the places and people associated with my many stories that I have been telling him all this time. So far, we have eaten at a few places that were my favorites, such as Posadas, and the Great Outdoors. Next on the list is Sonic (which is a must, as I am constantly tortured by commercials for Sonic up in the Chicago area, yet I cannot find one listed on the site - I didn't look in the Indiana section of the Sonic website, but I can only guess there is one there or in Wisconsin. /end rant) and Krystal's, which is the southern version of White Castle. Except for the fact that Krystal's has chili cheese pups, which are basically half-size hotdogs. But lord are they good.
Now you might be asking, why am I just going to resturants and such, because isn't there more things to do in the Plano/Dallas area than eat? Yes, there is. But because we are doing this on a limited budget, other things are out of the picture for now. As it is, we are thinking this will turn into a yearly vacation to Texas. Although next time, we are sooo flying instead of driving. Which really wasn't that bad, we made it in 13 hours rather than the 16 that Mapquest was predicting (we also went a little faster than Mapquest calculates the speeds to be).
Now Christmas itself was pretty good. Between the two of us, we got a PSP, KitchenAid mixer, I got some iPod accessories - a car charger and FM modulator, just in time for the trip. Adam got me a bracket for my car that will hold my XM radio and the iPod as well. Various DVD's, including a special edition of Edward Scissorhands, which is certainly one of my favorite movies. We also got a gift card to Pier1, and my little sister got us a card to Williams Sonoma - there is only a few hundred things in there that I could get. :)
And one of the neatest presents I got was Magical Trevor! He's so cute, and while he was smaller than I thought he would be, he looks perfect, just like from the movie. I'll have to get a picture of him and post it.
Well, I guess this ends it for my occasional very long post - I've covered just about everything for the moment, and I'm rather tired. Maybe I'll actually post a little more often this year.
